Fruitbowl on footed stand with ladle

Large pinch-built globular vessel, mounted on a tall leg with supportive stretchers between, the ladle of elegant broad form with scrolling terminal.

Decorated with applied & carved panels of fruiting vine pendant from a raised stem acting as the rim, the whole glazed in a mottled blue with patches of green to the low relief decoration.

Signed & dated 1925

Size: 24.5cm wide, 13.5cm high

“Mum used to buy peaches, slice them in half and use this to serve them on the table, along with the dragon custard  jug. Some visitors would have a second serve because they loved the piece so much!”
