This type of service is perhaps the most recognisable of the Harvey School exercise pieces, and turn up regularly. As the sixth lesson, it was quite a challenge, and requiring handles for the first time, and the tricky spout. If the technique for attaching these in the required manner could not be mastered, they would simply fall off or misfire and make the vessel useless. The challenge may well have been too much for some students, who did not continue very long with the classes. Clem, however, did a magnificent job.
